Portobelo
Portobelo is a World Heritage Site situated on the Caribbean coast. During the colonial time, it was the most important port of Latin America, from where gold and silver were transported to Spain, and therefore attacked by pirates on several occasions. Portobelo is also declared National Park and comprises of tropical forests, mangroves, islands, beaches and coral reefs.
The best way to explore it is by joining our day tours.
Our destinations in Portobelo National Park are: Playa Blanca, Venas Azules, Isla Grande, Isla Mamey, Playa Drake, Puerto León, Isla Mono, Túnel del Amor.

Itinerary:
7:00 AM : Get picked up from the comfort of your accommodation in Panama City. (if selected)
8:30/9:00 AM: Arrive at Portobelo dock and hop aboard a speedboat, which will connect you to the catamaran (1-minute journey).
Once on the catamaran, we will sail 50 minutes to our first stop Venas Azules.
There we will explore the interior mangrove lagoon by dinghy for approximately 30 minutes. While admiring the beautiful local flora, we will try to spot some local fauna.
Once the tour is over, we will return to the catamaran and from there we will sail 15-20 minutes to Playa Blanca or Playa Drake.
There you can do most of our water activities: swimming in the crystal-clear waters, snorkeling through the corals, kayaking, and paddle boarding.
1:30 PM: We will be serving lunch on the catamaran
2:00 PM: We will prepare the boat to head back to Portobelo.

ACTIVITIES
Paddleboarding
Paddleboarding is a fun way to do a full-body workout and to get to our beautiful tropical beaches. By paddle-board is also possible to adventure through the magnificent mangrove channels of crystal clear and turquoise waters.
Snorkeling
Portobelo is well-known for its spectacular coral reef. In fact, it is home to several diving schools. Here, you will find corals in both deep and shallow waters, therefore you can still appreciate if you're not a diver.
Kayaking
Kayaking is an entertaining recreational activity that people of all ages can enjoy. One of the best ways to appreciate the beauty of these magical places is paddling to the beach or through the mangrove lagoon.
